[data.connect]

data.connect is a slot in the data namespace, in Hyperlambda, the language of Magic Cloud. Opens a database connection using the configured provider.

• Value (database-name,connection-string), optional: Optional DATABASE_NAME or [CONNECTION_STRING

  DATABASE_NAME] override

• Scope: provides data.connection - Creates an open database connection scope for data.* slots

Arguments

Required arguments come first, then the optional ones in the order they are declared.

Argument	Type	Required	Description
[database-type]	string	no	Database adapter to use instead of the configured default.
any node name	lambda	no	Executable child slot evaluated while the database connection is open. Can be repeated.
